SHEILA STUDIED AT BIRMINGHAM SCHOOL OF ART
TRAVELLING TO LONDON IN THE 70’S 

 She became interested in alternative theatre which had a strong ‘Art school’

influence eventually leading to her becoming a performer with the infamous

Pip Simmons Theatre Group. In 1974 the company were invited to spend 9 months residency in Rotterdam to develop rehearse and perform two shows "Dracula" and "An Die Musik" followed by a season at the Mickery Theatre in Amsterdam with further touring in Holland, Belgium, Italy and France arriving

at the Avignon festival 1975. Sheila had always carried a small compact camera since art school days so carried on taking photos same as always but this time as a traveler and performer capturing life on the road touring UK and Europe 1974-1986.

 

The company had their 50th Anniversary in 2024 when her book

‘OFFSTAGE’ was published
